HSS M2 DMo5 TITANIUM NITRIDE (TIN) COATED

Titanium nitride is an extremely hard ceramic material, often used as a coating on titanium alloys, steel, carbide, and aluminum components to improve the substrate's surface properties. The coating's main advantages include a longer life between sharpenings and added lubricity on the sides of the saw plate to reduce the stress associated with cutting hard materials.

Our cold saw blanks are made from M2 - DMo5 tool steel. During the manufacturing process they are heat treated and hardened to about 65 HRc, triple tempered, and press quenched to preserve their flatness. Every blade undergoes a strict quality control check. During this process, we test for runout on flatness, surface roughness, blade thickness, cracks, and scars. Flatness is checked at every point on the surface and roughness is checked via infrared deflection.

All blades are ground in the US on advanced computer numerically controlled (CNC) grinding equipment by industry experts with over 40 years of industry experience.
